The PS340 / PS641 from Motrona is a single axis position controller that allows positioning control using a PC or PLC, or from the front display panel. Easy parameter setting using the front panel or the free OS6 operating software permits very quick installation and setup. The positioning accuracy is very high, and the response time is quick. This compact economical unit is well suited for upgrades and retrofits, small machines, etc. 4 digital inputs can be programmed for Reset, Start, Jog, Homing, etc., while the outputs can indicate Moving, In position, Homing Done, Batch complete, etc. The serial interface can be used to program the units, or for remote control, change of parameters or readout of values by a PLC or PC. The unit provides an analogue output of +/- 10V or +/- 20 mA. It can be used for Incremental length, Relative Positioning, Absolute Positioning, Loop operation and Incremental Operation with print mark control. The encoder input from the positioning drive provides position and speed feedback to the PS340 / PS641
The PS641 has additional thumb wheels for easy setting of the incremental length plus additional relay output.
